Dream Concerts

Any music thread always turns into a best band discussion(pissing contest). Lets hear your Dream Concerts. Limit it to 2 concerts and 8 bands for each concert. One for bands currently active and one for bands no longer together or with lineup changes(Gun’s n Roses) or a mix and match. You can include deceased musicians. Put them in order of show. This should start some bitching!

Opening act: The Offspring
Megadeath
Motorhead
Between The Buried And Me
Down
ZZ Top
Iron Maiden
AC/DC

Opening act:Dead Kennedys
Betty Blowtorch
Little Feet(with Lowell George)
Janis Joplin
Deep Purple(with Ritchie Blackmore)
Pink Floyd(the Gilmour, Waters, and Wright era)
Allman Brothers(with Duane Allman, Barry Oakley)
Pantera

I wish I could go to a Bob Marley or Jimi Hendrix concert.

That’s a dream concert. Literally.

Good choices OP.

personally…

Floyd
DK
BOC
Danzig
The Velvet Underground
The Clash
old arch enemy
pantera
MDC
BTBAM
becoming the archetype
stormtroopers of death
old velvet revolver
old GNR
iced earth
Nevermore

I saw Iron maiden last summer, metallica a few weeks ago, and I’m seeing mayhem tour (cannibal corpse, slayer, etc) this summer.

Since I never saw Hendrix or the Allman Bros with Duane, I would say those 2.

I witnessed Zep, The Who ( 2 bands who had insane drummers that, if they did not die, would STILL be making ROCK), Floyd, Stones, S.R.V., AC/DC with Bon Scott ( they opened for Ted Nugent…LOUDEST concert I was ever at !), Aerosmith, VH, etc.

It was good to be a teenager in the 70’s !!!

Beatles?
Rolling Stones back when they were young like 100 years ago.
Elvis
Johnny Cash during any part of his career would have been amazing.

The current band I never miss is Social Distortion. Maybe have Tool open up for them. Deftones before that. Then Arcade Fire would come out and do a small set at the end to kind of wind things down.

Nice Topic!

In order:

Kings of Leon
Wolfmother
The Killers
The White Stripes
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Then Paul Okenfold and Christopher Lawrence would spin until it got good and dark so that we can all settle into the grass for:

Tool.

I’m so jealous. I would be in heaven if I could just see Floyd or Zeppelin.

But I’ll put:

Opening act: Bad Brains
Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Guns n Roses
Pink Floyd

Since I’m a guitarist I would have loved to see people like SRV and Randy Rhoads too.

Nirvana would be fun… I saw them in '93 though… in TO…

Ummm

Floyd
The Doors
The Who

They’d ALL be good…

concert 1:
Dropkick Murphys
The Clash
Combat 84
Stars and Stripes
The Real McKenzies
Operation Ivy
Rancid
Black Flag

concert 2:
Born of Osiris
Pantera
Trivium
Mastodon
Slayer
Children of Bodom
Metallica
Sepultura

hmm…

Tragically Hip
Dylan
Neil Young
Zeppelin

Marshall Tucker Band
Three Dog Night
Seals and Croft
Springsteen

I have seen Floyd w/o Roger Waters, but I would really pay anything to see them together. I know they are all insanely rich, but I wish they could settle their differences and do a tour for their fans.
I’d pay $500, $1000, whatever. And this time, I’d do it stone cold sober, so I can remember it.

you sir are obviously a moron, I don’t care if he even snitched before he started recording as long as he makes decent music, that’s all that matters. Why is rap the only genre where fans feel as if they need too have credentials before being considered dope?

Ozzy Osbourne
Pantera
Metallica
Iron Maiden
Slayer
Machine Head
Megadeth
Black Label Society

#2
Led Zeppelin
Hendrix
SRV
The Who
ACDC
The Rolling Stones

I would give my left nut to go back in time to see zeppelin.

Here we go

  1. Zeppelin
  2. Opening: OAR
Main Event: Dave Mathews band with plenty of tim reynolds/dave jams.
  3. Taylor swift. everytime i listen to her music i picture her naked. She just started a new tour… maybe ill go see her.
  4. Whitesnake and Van Halen
  5. Kenny Chesny, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban playing one after the other.

Old GNR
White Stripes
Janis Joplin
Pink Floyd
Stones
Zeppelin
The Who
Bowie

Not necessarily in that order. Bowie and Zeppelin the most.
