Double Pre-Exhaust

Typically a double pre-ex cycle has a compound / single joint / compound order so I was wondering why the 30 /10 / 30 leg cycle has three compounds instead, Was it just a variety thing or is there a specific reason leg extensions were not the second exercise in that cycle ? Thank you

It was just variety.


Even though it’s technically a compound movement, wall squats are so quad focused, if I didn’t have access to a leg extension machine, I would consider them a reasonable alternative. Just my 2 cents
