Doing Stronglifts 5x5, Should I Cut? How So?

So I have been lifting (badly) for about a two years now. My current stats are 6ft, 204lb at 18-20% bodyfat. I bench 155 for 5, squat 205 for 3, overhead press 115 for 4, and deadlift 315 for 1. I really want to cut down to 8-10% i have cut before from 263 down to 185 when i first started. but i want to do my fat loss faster this time. Any good tips for calories, cardio and lifting for this cut?

Read pretty much any 10 articles on Tnation part of the site, especially a couple by guys like Waterbury and Dan John

SS “allows” you to drop weight if you resemble a beached whale but at 18% bf the program requires you to eat a surplus. Otherwise, Rip will take your first born child.

I imagine SL is the same as it is essentially the same program.

Stop doing SL. It’s garbage.

Any of Christian Thibaudeau or Paul Carter’s programs will work way better.

You might lift better by eating right also

I have said it before and I will say it again, if most whom followed it were to meet the guy that came up with it. Those individuals would be like WTF… at the seminar that I attended he was the least physically impressive person there.

High fibre and protein diet
5 or 6 compound exercises 8 to 12 reps (4 sets) 3 times a week.
Walk 3 times a week.
