Doing Farmer Walks and/or Front Loaded Carry

Hey Jim,

My current routine is the 3-day full body 1000% Awesome in Jim’s Forever book, awesome routine.

I was wanting to put in some Farmer Walks and/or Front Loaded Carries, if I do this do I need to get rid of the assistance work, 25-50 Reps Push/Pull/Single Leg or how should I incorporate this in my routine or should I not do this?

Any suggestions?

Up to you. I like this exercise. I walk 400m to 1km.

Yes.

You can do the carries however you want - the easiest way to do this (if you don’t have a plan already) is use the same template I created for the Prowler and people who are short on time. I can’t remember the exact name of the Prowler Programming though. The bottom line is that you use the 5/3/1 program for weights used on the Farmer’s Walk. Just choose a distance, choose a TM and you are off. Easy as hell to do, literally requires 1 IQ point.

Thanks a lot Jim
