Doesn't Anyone Remember Whitewater?

Bigflamer. Typical childish answers I would expect from anyone dumb enough to still support Bush. News flash just in. Not even conservatives and neocons still support Bush. Can you go to the bathroom by yourselves or does mommy still have to help you?

Never seen the daily kos. I do know what it is from watching the Factor. Nice stereotyping though. Much easier than critical thinking, something you clearly lack the education and faculties for anyway.

I’m under 20. LOL Funny coming from the guy with 1444 posts. Maybe you need to get a life. You know the “real world” with the adults who read, think, and do things.

Do not worry. I’m not upset or angry. More incredulous that anyone can be as ignorant and immature as you and still function. Does mommy not let you out of the basement? Keep voting for the likes of Bush America, I have my eye on some mountain property in the West and am waiting for the fire sale.

Zap, you’re rebuttal was weak. You really think Abramoff is the only scandal? I’d probably consider it the least serious event in the list anyway.

For the record, I said “corporate and government corruption and incompetence” when describing Bush, not scandal. I also never “absolved” Clinton of anything. I am saying lying about a blow job or shady business dealings involving tens of thousands of dollars is not on par with trillion dollar clusterfucks, billions lost to corruption and presiding over the largest security failure, biggest foreign policy blunder, and greatest domestic disaster failure of American government in history. Not to mention totally ignoring rule of law, separation of powers, and the Constitution.

You did not post the truth.

In all those countries large majorities are against the war AND think that the US is more dangerous than al Quaeda.

Yet they all fight the war on terror with us don’t they? They all have troops in harms way aiding us in Iraq and/or Afghanistan.

This is reality. Polls don’t always reflect reality, they simply reflect the nature of the question.

Have you stopped beating your wife?

Yes or No?
jeffdirect wrote:
I could point to you the scandal of the bogus/ forged intelligence ( downingstreet memo,…) who led to the Iraq war, which is as big a fiasco if there even was one, but the best indicator is how the whole world has turned it’s back on America, after 8 years of friendship and amical relations with the Clinton presidency.

Even the biggest staunch supporters of the Iraq war on this forum, like Mr “I think i am black” Mikeyali cannot deny the fact Bush wanted to invade Iraq before 911.

I believe Geneva conventions state that " to initiate a war of agreesion constitutes the ultimate crime" so it puts into perspective our matter of consideration here.

Unless of course we’re talking about you.
Most of the world loved the Clintons…and somehow that’s a GOOD thing? What’s that tell us about the rest of the world? The world loves rapists (Jennifer Flowers) and criminals (Whitewater, cattle futures, Vince Foster, lying to Grand Juries)?

I said “amical relations”, not “love”.
When Clinton was in power i was too young to take interest in politics; i’m sure there were plenty of people dissatisfied with his administration, but as far as the international image of America, it was nothing like today.

Even american athletes get copiously booed on foreign ground now.
Hell, even on native ground they get booed ( see Hatton Mayweather)

Americans have been booed at overseas sporting events as far back as the 70’s and probably before.

People have been protesting and burning American flags forever too. It has always been this way.

buddy, those countries make up literally about 1/40 of the rest of the world.

America is falling, deal with it.
Kapoot.

Anyone who boos an athlete because they don’t like the person’s government is about as close to a meathead as anyone can get.

I was hoping for something more along the lines of,
“She hasn’t stopped deserving it.”

My idea would have been, “not if she does not stop begging for it”.

Support Bush on what? I do support Bush on some issues, but not on others. It’s about the issues junior.

News flash just in, you’re telegraphing a level of immaturity with these childish attacks that you really should not be comfortable with.

Good for you, you’re a better man for it.

If it looks like shit, and smell like shit, it must surely be shit. Your arguments are nothing but talking point filled rhetoric with all of the classic buzzwords of the left.

I know, I already ascertained this.

My rough estimations put me at an average of 1.2 post a day since September of 2004. Not exactly a record number there junior. You see, I have the organizational skills to handle three jobs, remodel my basement before my daughter is born in May, make it to MMA class at least once a week, and still find the time to own you on this forum. I probably do more in one week than you will do all month. LOL, your arguments are getting pathetic.

See how these childish attacks are clearly a lack of substance on your part? Pick up your game junior.

I’m sure the word you’re groping for is “amicable”, but I digress (this thread is having an effect on me apparently).

It always makes me a little sad when I hear leftists and anti Bushies take this line of argument. Since when is being loved internationally by everyone the goal of this nations foreign policy? Should it be the center of foreign policy? No, it should not.

The following occurred during the loving and peacefull Bubba years:

1992 - Hotel bombing in Aden, Yemen where 100 U.S. servicemen were staying. No one was wounded. Osama Bin Laden claimed responsibility.

February 26, 1993 - A truck packed with bombs exploded in the underground parking garage below the north tower (1 Tower). It opened a 200-foot wide and 5-story deep hole. Six people were killed and over 1,000 injured.

November 13, 1995 - Bombing at Army training headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; 5 Americans killed; 31 wounded;

June 25, 1996 - Khobar Towers apartments bombed at U.S. military barracks in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; 19 Americans killed; 372 wounded;

August 7, 1998 - U.S. embassies bombed in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; 224 killed including 12 Americans;

August 28, 1998 - The FBI accuses Osama bin Laden of having declared ‘jihad’ or holy war against the United States.

November 4, 1998 - Osama bin Laden is charged with ordering embassy bombings.

October 12, 2000 - USS Cole bombed in Aden, Yemen; 17 Americans killed; 39 wounded;

Foreign policy is centered around a nations best interests. I don’t give a rust fuck if the pursuit of the United State’s interests piss off the international community. In a perfect world, the US would tell the UN to piss off and and we would exit stage right from that impotent, worthless organization of bureaucratic do nothings.

Good grief, do you actually think that the goal of the US should be to seek the approval of the international community? Fuck that. This isn’t a popularity contest or an election for prom king. Think about that.

Most people in other cultures live through the eyes of others. Its called social metaphysics. The opinion others have of you is all important.

Americans, many anyway, really don’t care what others think and thus, the rest of the world regards us as arrogant. Actually, we are simply egoists, which is how humans should live. To live for yourself is somehow considered wrong, esp by Europeans.

Europe is dying because all to often they only want to live for themselves. Their birth rate has plummeted and they are being replaced in their own countries.

I always thought it to be morally right; that by living for yourself and taking care of yourself, when truly possible to do so, keeps others from having to do so. Rugged individualism is an idea that is, unfortunately, going to the wayside. It disturbs me how the US is slouching towards socialism.

Pat Buchanan’s book “The Death of the West” is very good. It talks about this in length.
