Does TRT Lower DHEA and Pregnenolone?

This concerns me because even though I wont need these two to make testosterone anymore, preg is very important when it comes to depression and overall mood. Is this why some people feel depressed when they start trt?

Yes to some extent. hCG is believed to avoid this. Note that there is an unavoidable decline in DHEA levels and perhaps pregnenolone as well. Many times TRT eliminates depression like issues. Low thyroid function can cause low mood problems with low or high T levels.

Yes I too read that pregnenolone helps depression, my thyroid function is normal. At my last blood test I only had DHEA tested and it was very low. Would it be wise to supplement with both 25mg DHEA and 50mg pregnenolone?

Jesus Christ I shuddered in fear for a second thinking KSman is back. :grimacing:
