DL Help - for EC or MR

My friend and I were discussing Deadlifting, and he told me to stop using an alternate grip because it will screw my back. Something about one rotator cuff working harder than the other, which misaligns the spine. Bad stuff.

Then again, everybody does it. And if it were really that bad, pulling 500+ lbs can’t be good to your shoulders, spine and etc.

So is this true?

Over time, you can definitely develop some imbalances if you don’t alternate your over/under hands between sets. Just make sure that you’re alternating between sets and you’ll be fine.
