diffrent workouts, same needs?

I have read plenty about post work-out nutrition, but i still have one question i have not seen specifically mentioned. does the same post workout drink mix + meal @1 hour later apply to all types of work-outs, or just specifically to resistance training. for example, would this formula need to be altered for a sprinting workout, endurance workout, sport workout, etc? would the same insulin spike, carb requirements, be the same?
