Different Supplement Question

I’m wondering if anyone has heard of anything with respect to using supplements to mimic injury or muscle damage in order to elicit a natural healing response?

You know, find some supplements with metabolites that appear the same to the body as those found naturally after a severe workout. Trick the body into going “holy shit, I’ve got to do some serious repair on those poor damaged muscles”.

I’ve never heard of anything like it, but it crossed my mind that all the supplements I know of are geared to optimizing or mimicking positive processes. If it isn’t impossible to do, it might be hard to detect or outlaw as well.

Anyway, back to the real world for now.
