Diet and Achilles Tendinitis

I know that dieting and injuries don't go hand in hand; nutrients for healing and what not. But would a one-sided Achilles tendinitis be reason enough to move back to maintenance? Obviously I'm laying off the cardio/impact stuff, but I have no issues nor pains moving weights around in the gym or going about my daily business. Also I'm having soft tissue work done weekly/bi-weekly.

I'm thinking continuing at a deficit is fine, but hey, maybe I'm just thinking that because it's what I want to do. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
