Is DHEA a necessary part of the trt protocol? Also, for some of you that do take it what are your pros/cons? The reason that I ask is that my clinic had originally prescribed 25mg per day but haven’t taken it yet. I’ve been strictly on Test E alone for 9 weeks and I feel everything is going well. I wasn’t comfortable taking and bunch of different meds, only wanted the simple approach. I’m curious if the DHEA would just add to how I feel?
If you’re not deficient then no its not necessary. Honestly its not going to change how you feel much at all.

I was taking it. Did not feel a difference on it, or off of it. If you are below range, or bottom of range, adding some would not be a terrible idea as it is cheap.
