I’m getting more pictures in a few days from people that were there but here’s my Squats, Deads, and Meet Write Up
Meet went pretty well. I weighed in at 214lbs. Went 7/9
Squats
540lbs - Good Lift
575lbs - Good Lift
610lbs - Good Lift
Bench
370lbs - Good Lift
405lbs - No Lift, So close to locking out
405lbs - No Lift, Gassed
Deadlift
590lbs - Good Lift
635lbs - Good Lift
660lbs - Good Lift
I totaled 1640lbs, which puts me at Elite, in hindsight I need to make smaller weight jumps in my Bench attempts because had I did 390/395 for a second, I would have totalled at least 1655 which would be the Elite Total for the 275’s and I’d have it as a 220er… oh well, there’s next meet to do that. Very pleased with my results and looking forward to the next one in March.
Tuesday: Upper Body Conditioning: 30min of Battle Ropes
Wednesday:
a. Chins- bw (215) x7, x6, x6
b. Meadows Rows- 4x10
c. Seated Face Pull- 3x15
d. Close Grip Pulldown- 3x10 drop 1x10 drop 1x10
Taking it easy this week and start experimenting with different assistance exercises for my next training block. I’ve talked with Stronghold about having an 8 week offseason and not focus on meet prep until New Year’s where I’ll be getting ready for another meet come March.

Boy you strong! I saw your other log, do you follow a block periodization scheme? Do you have any other good / bad experiences with others?
I do follow a Block Periodization scheme, I prefer it best for where I’m at now. I did do “Westside” and Sheiko, but Block is the only programming that consistently adds 5% to each of my lifts each time I use it for meet prep.
Here are all the photos from the meet… Powerlifting literally brings the worst possible looks for oneself lol
lol they made the guy in 234 look retarded

Looks like it brings out the worst possible squat form for some people too.

I’m actually embarrassed to say that I train alongside some of those that have that kind of “Squat” form, huge eye opener and makes me grateful that I had an excellent coach that taught me right.
