Deadlifts and Front Squats today. Did not go well, still pretty beat from the comp. I think I may have to adjust my weights before the next training cycle.

Bench Press today, felt bad in the beginning but got my groove and hit 2 prs today. One more day of this training cycle, still feeling it from the comp.

First day of the new cycle. Weights felt great, shoulder a little sore. I have decided to not attempt a max effort lift until the 9th week of training or 3 cycles in. I want to be surprised by a pr and see if what I am doing as far as supplementals are working as intended.

Ditto ( and no, Mort, Iām not stalking youā¦). I just started playing with strongman last year, did one competition, then had a long layoff due to life getting in the way, and I plan on doing another one before the year is out. Youāre moving weight I just wish I was doing right now. How old are you, if you donāt mind me asking?
@mortdk They have not, I checked at the comp and I was in 4th before the yoke and stonesā¦pretty sure that put me down a lot. Thank you for the read and the kind words!
@OTHSteve I am 26 years old. Started strongman training last June.
@mortdk Yeah, I started doing giant sets after he spoke about it and it have really helped with my conditioning so I stick with it. Darkhorse seems like a cool program, I might run it when things start to stall with my main lifts
Today was a good day. Hit solid sets on everything though my push press was kinda fried from squats yesterday. Started doing Zerchers and I hate them so much but only because I suck at them and I have no idea how to breathe while doing them. Only one way to get better!
Deadlift day today. Did pretty good considering my training max this cycle is a little to high, my back is fried from going to Disneyland yesterday, and there was a tiny doggo being cute in the gym today.
3s week continued, full of crap from Disneyland, woke up fat donāt want to weigh myself.
Deadlift day. Switching the video over to the side allowed me to see that I am starting with my hips too low and need to work starting the pull with my hips higher. Also, this is the last week I had programmed for my deficit pulling. I donāt know what I am going to be programming next but we will see.
