Denmark -- Who's Been To?

yeah but the windmills are produced in Nakskov located on the island “Lolland” which you will properly never go to. especially considering its 2 hours from copenhagen and the crime rate is one of the highest in the country.

Crime rate? hahahaha… He is from the states…

I’m going to be in this area:

If I do a search for nearby “gym” I get dance studios!

Asusvenus-- can you translate this for me?

Nørregade 26, 1164 København K, Danmarkâ?? - 3393 7227

I guess “Norregade 26” is like Route 26 or similar? What’s the next thing? Is that like a block or building suite or something?

I searched nearby “fitness” and got:

http://www.nyform.dk/ which looks promising

and

Fitness World A/S
Axeltorv 2
1609 København V, Danmark

I think I’ll be about halfway between the two.

How’s the fish there? I hear I’m going to be eating a lot of fish, which I love, but I need a lot of it.

As it happens, I’m in the “Energy” sector and I’ll be there on business to get some software up and running!

Dave Tate recently wrote an article on elitefts about training on vacation, I don’t think the mods allow links to other websites so ya may go take a look. I thought it was pretty good, especially if the gym isn’t that great.

Sweet! Hope you find the gym over there too! Sounds like its gonna be a great experience.

Nørregade = Street name (‘Northern Street’)
26 = Street number
1164 = Post code
København K = Central Copenhagen.

By the way, the thing on Nørregade 26 is a store that sells gym and dance clothing…

I’d probably go with the Fitness World.

I don’t really eat fish.

If you’re still looking for a gym, may I recommend “The Gym”?

Is it easy to find whey protein or protein bars in Copenhagen? Where do they sell it-- pharmacies? Grocerie? Is there an equivalent to a general store like WalMart in the US? Specialty stores?

It’s usually sold in stores specializing in fitness/bodybuilding supplements and clothing. The stuff you can get supermarkets is usually overpriced and shitty.

If you have the time take a trip to Norway and see the fjords.

And I might have been wrong about my weather predictions - I’m sweating my ass off.

I learned how to say “Rødgrød med fløde”

(click triangles to hear)

Man i’ve never been to Denmark but Amsterdam and Brussels should be just an express train ride away.(take a night train and you can skip a hotel then see the city during the day) Brussels is awesome and I think a bit underrated.
Not to mention:

one of my favorite bars in all of Europe (I’ve been to most of it)

i have never been there, but i did read beowulf so i could work it into conversations

It sounds like he said “dying noodle slowin’ cock” in English.

It’s not that interesting in Danish, he is saying “Nothing beats a Cocio” which is certainly true when we are talking about chocolate milk. I highly recommend a Cocio together with a hotdog.
