Dems: Did They Learn ANYTHING?

He wasn’t that likable…
Truthfully, he probably would not have won the primaries even if the DNC didn’t snub him. They just made sure they had a little insurance for Hilarity.
If it were outright tampering there would be people in jail.

Oh it means something to enough…
The problem with Sanders is that he wanted to be a leader of a country that has yet to be created, full of a species that has yet to evolve.

Spot on and music to my ears a song I have been singing for many years. Joe public does not look at policy nearly as much as he looks at the candidate and decides emotionally whether he likes him or not. Then once decided he uses reason to back up his decision.

…Okay… who was the second worst candidate in modern history?

Come on norse I’ve said it 20 times…

And Sanders would have lost by more to Trump than Hillary did.

Reasons:

  1. Take out the female vote entirely for old Bernie. Trump beat Hillary with white women by 10 points. He would have beaten Bernie the commie by 20 or more.

  2. The youth don’t vote. Well at least not in the numbers one needs to win a national campaign. Yes, they turned out for a very young charismatic black candidate but Bernie is none of those things.

  3. Independents went with Trump by a significant number it would have been even larger if Bernie were the democrats nominee.

Had Bernie Sanders been the nominee Trump would have been up around 400 electoral votes and winning the popular vote by a significant number.

You give too much credit to the “rule of law”. Hillary should be indicted too…but again, two sets of rules.

We’re comparing Bernie and Hillary here. He looks like a saint in comparison.

No doubt people wanted Hillary more than Bernie but the Clintons have always had skeletons in their closet and those skeletons jumped out of the closet during this election. The same can’t really be said about Bernie and I think that would be key when people look at Trump VS Bernie. I thought Bernie was genuine. Severely misguided but genuine.

Accurate.

I’ll play… Trump.

Ok, well that was why he won. You are talking about alleged futureTrump policy. If he cannot deliver on anything he promised, then vote the bastard out. Every politician lies for his or her own gain.

The Dems used to be the party of the “everyday person”: unions, construction workers, teachers, miners, even most soldiers I have served with, etc… Now, even in my narrow world, they are looked upon as amusing idiots, defenders of what ever special snowflakes are crying that week. There is a large amount of states between DC and LA. Maybe they should talk to my partner’s father , or better yet, get out of DC/LA/NY and talk to a Kansas wheat farmer, a teacher in rural WV or, heaven forbid, maybe the recent flood victims in Louisiana.

Trump is either a brilliant, cunning fox, or a total fucking retard. I just hope he is smart enough to know ,that he knows nothing about government, and is smart enough to surround himself with good advisors. He reminds me of some of the Afghans I train, ok as long as someone is looking over their shoulder, totally stupid otherwise.

Now, If I was a Dem advisor, I would start making inroads into rural communties and small towns, simply checking on the quality of life, listening to problems like grain prices, cattle and hog sales, housing costs, medical insurance costs, and if small business owners need help in tax breaks or loans.

I would meet with the mayors and city councils of mid-size cities and just ask “what are your problems?” How can we the Dems, help you secure jobs and how can we help develop a more diverse job base?

I would establish a group to revise the current college crap, we are so far behind in this area, how can we compete, when resources are used for the useless study of esoteric courses, that will never be used in real life . We need to bring education back to what it is supposed to be: learning to be productive in your chosen field.

I would appoint a political powerhouse group( AKA:Money Men) to bring summer jobs back to inter city youth (especially in Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, etc),There are thousands of streets to be cleaned and numerous abandoned homes/apartment buildings to be destroyed. An example would be the old US Forest Service summer programs for rural high school kids, planting trees and cleaning national parks or have the BLM offer work on USG lands in cleanup. (One summer, I worked counting wild donkeys/horses for BLM, better than Juvie Jail)

The real world is not Twitter and Facebook, neither will prepare you for finding a job and then working hard enough to keep that job. I would make putting our youth back to work a top priority, because thats the future of the Dems/ Reps and hopefully, try to instill a little patriotism toward America. Just my 2 cents.

Great post, Idaho.

I think that the things you proposed could go a long way to solving a lot of REAL problems.

That’s because no one, not the Republicans or the media actually reported on him in any earnest.

Were talking about a man that obviously can’t do math, pandering with “free stuff” for the masses. He waffles on guns and went as far as to say “ban all semi autos”. That’s moronic.

He said “white people don’t know what it’s like to be poor”. Total horseshit.

He cries about income inequality while owning 3 homes and driving a Volvo…

Praised failed socialistic states. Was cut down by places like Norway that told him they weren’t socialist. And actually proudly admits he’s a socialist, which on it’s face is an evil, horrid ideological platform. At least commies admit they want totalitarian power and will kill to get it.

He cried the same “drain the swamp” message, and turned around and promoted the same swamp when push came to shove.

He has a temper, and reacts like a baby when challenged.

He’s old and feeble looking, projects a total “pussy” persona.

His accent makes him sound like a moron to the middle of the country.

He’s the biggest sellout, loser in a long line of sellout losers…

He’s so similar to Trump outside of actually admitting he’s a socialist (lmao) that Trump would have picked his ass apart, just like he did the other Republicans and Hilary.

Again, you are overestimating his likability, here. Being a ‘better dude’ does not translate into charismatic. Obama could get people to buy into his vision because he had the ‘it’ factor when it comes to charisma. Bernie doesn’t have that. People just didn’t buy into his vision, who already didn’t have that vision.
He would not have beat Hillary even if the DNC did not stack the deck. Stacking the deck was an insurance move on their part.
Obama had the gift that made even far left swinging ideas almost sound downright reasonable. Bernies far left ideas still sounded like far left ideas. He had a vision for a country that is not the U.S.

I think at best there would be a less than 1% shift in the primary outcome if DNC had not meddled. They meddled but it wasn’t that effective. It was Hillary’s from the start.

Don’t work for the DNC, your ideas would make them popular again…

I would say that large groups of people aren’t immune to fundamental errors in their consideration, and pushing aside the moral depravity of socialism for a second, there is a distinct and considerable inability for Bernouts and the man himself to do basic math.

This was shown over and over and over again. From his policy to the supporters undying “here’s how Bernie could STILL WIN” all they past the damn convention.

That’s pretty stupid man. But “stupid” is curable. So it isn’t the end of the world.

I find it ironic, really really ironic, when the left looks to the Scandinavian states as models for government. You mean those lily-white societies with zero diversity, who have no need for an army because they have NATO treaties with the U.S. and have tiny populations to boot. Yeah, that’s our model. We will have an all white population that’s heavily subsidized and a very small military so Russia and China can take over the world.
If we’re going to model after scandinavia, what do we do with all the brown folks?

I disagree. “You can’t fix stupid.” ~ Ron White

As a social experiment I’ve been asking people (mostly lefties because it’s hilarious) to name "the most important person in any major city in America today?. As in, who is the most important person in NYC today? If any one person (or small group of similar people) refused to show up to work ever again in any city on Earth, who or what group would hurt the city the most if they stopped showing up?

You’ll get a lot of “the mayor, the leaders of the community”.

The look on their face when I tell them: “Wrong. It’s the garbage collector. The woman or man who gets up at 4am every day to drive a smelly ass truck on their route to pickup up your trash and shit you don’t want from the side of the street. The person that removes the refuse from the street the Mayor walks his pompous elitist ass down is more important, because without the garbage men, society would meltdown into Lord of the Flies in less than a month, and you can’t Mayor over that mess…”

I don’t think people forget about this, they just take the “dirty jobs” types for granted, and blatantly assume those people are there to serve them, because they have some degree from a school and wear a suit to work everyday.

I see it as a ‘bend don’t break’ policy. I read a lot of those emails and most were pretty generic. You could accuse some of them of having ‘code’ but actual tampering I didn’t see. It was more ‘encouragement’ and strategy. Like trying to hammer Bernie on being an atheist in the south. Even though Hillary is satan’s daughter.

You’re using facts not emotion… No one crying we need to “be more like Norway” is going to listen to you, as you’re not a protected class, therefore your facts are just the opinions of a privileged white man.

^literally the corner leftist identity politics have painted their disciples into.

This reminds me of something I read a few weeks ago.

I agree that Trump and Sanders have a great deal in common. Protectionism is no better than socialism. Both can’t do math and are big cry babies. I think it would have been close but Sanders doesn’t appear tough enough to be the top dog so Trump wins.
