Dem Party at its End?

I’m sick of all of them. Can anybody name a politician (national level) that is worth a shit in any way?

Who stands out as an honest, level headed, trust worthy politician?

I don’t trust any of them at this point.

They all seem like actors to me. Sound bites, make up, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

Exactly. I usually end up voting Republican on a national level but I hate to have to do it.

I know a few guys that are elected officials on a local level.

Some are good guys, some are pricks.

One of my good friends is a Democrat township manager (like a mayor).

His party keeps pushing him to run for state representative but he refuses to because he thinks they are all crooks in both parties at that level.

As to the original question, win or lose the Dems will be around for a long while. No third party has the money or grass roots support to compete.

If the Dems lose this fall hopefully they will think about why they lost and come back with a good pro-worker philosphy that does not chase business away and they will be more reasonable about national defense and stop sounding like they are interchangeable with the president of Iran.
I do believe that corporations should not have the same rights as an American citizen.

The last sentence reminds us that you are a tool.

That’d be one of the best things to ever happen to this country!
The GOP is going to lose more seats this election than anyone thought possible but I still am not conviced they will lose the house and senate…unless the new book by David Kuo titled “Tempting Faith” keeps the evangelical home this November.

“Tempting Faith” might put a dagger in my hopes that the GOP can turn it around.

Arrogance comes before a fall.

Have you really considered some of the statements made by Harry Reid, John Kerry, Al Gore and the rest comparing the actions of our soldiers to terrorists, Nazis etc.

Do you realize that these are the same statements made by our enemies?

Regardless of their intentions these statements are very inflammatory and our enemy draws comfort from them.

It is past time the Democratic leadership stop this bullshit just to appeal to the far left fringe.

I don’t understand. Many people think it is likely they will lose the house and possibly the senate.

Head when you vote do you look at the names or do you just vote Republican?

You just joined their club.

Way to go.

Bush just stared doing it as well.

Neither side has a leg to stand on in this argument and that includes you.

Many people belive that Saddam had something to with 9/11.

That just proves that most people are ignorant.

What are you talking about?

Do you deny that Kerry said, on national TV, our soldiers are terrorizing women and children?

Do you deny that Reid compared our soldiers actions to the Nazi’s?

Do you believe this inflammatory rhetoric has a place in our system?

Do you believe that our enemies take comfort from statements like this from our high profile elected officials?

Please answer this questions and don’t try to weasel out of it.

You and they are both full of inflammatory rhetoric.

You excuse your behavior because some other idiots do the same thing.

The Democrats and Republicans slander each other and they are one in the same.

Congradulations! You are in the club too.

*I don’t care because our 2 party system is a joke and you are being a pawn.

You are weaseling out of it or completely missing the point.

I don’t care if Kerry says Bush eats babies for breakfast.

I care that Kerry says American soldiers are terrorizing women and children. This is just such a dumb thing to say in a time of war. It does not run down Bush, it runs down our soldiers and gives comfort to the enemy.

Do you see the difference?

First of all Kerry never said Bush eats babies for breakfast. That statement is so psychotic I don’t even know where to begin. (Use a better example next time because that makes you look crazy).

If you want to believe that the Democrats support the enemy when they question the GOP then be my guest.

Kerry re-iterated statements made by other soldiers during Vietnam. I think it was a bad decision on his part. I would never have done it but Kerry is not a bright man (neither is Bush).

I do not think he was aiding the enemy nor do I think it made a difference in the Vietnam war.

It is said that we won the physical war but we lost the political war. We lost because all war is political and the Democrats get to carry that around their stupid necks till the end of time.

Now the Republicans have the Vietnam in Iraq and that will be their beast of burden.

I am an American. Keep me out of your stupid ass Republican vs. Democrat bitch fest as I don’t care about either team.

You need to work on your reading comprehension.

Kerry said it because he was trying to make a point that Iraqi soldiers need to do more of the dirty work. He was right about the point but he wrongly and intentionally made an inflammatory comment to energy the lunatic fringe of his party.

You display absolutely no understanding of what is happening.

Back in I believe it was 1950 Secretary of State Dean Acherson made his famous speech listing all the countries the US was pledged to protect from Communism. He left South Korea off the list. The commies heard his message and thought they could invade. They were shocked when we fought back. It is possible that bloody war could have been avoided if he would have chosen his words better.

The leaders of the Democratic party saying such things absolutely emboldens our enemy. They listen. They know that this war is fought in the media as well as on the battle field.

This is indisputable.

This has nothing to do with Democrat bashing.

Picking on Hillary’s cankles is mere Democrat bashing.

Believing Kerry, Gore, Reid etc. are selling out their country for political gain is not mere politics. It is real. Their words matter.

As far as I know Hillary is the only high profile Democrat that has NOT engaged in this type of inexusable rhetoric.

While I agree with many of the libertarian ideals I also think it is rather naive to think that they could effectively run a country of this size and importance in this modern age.
Libertarian ideals make sense and sound really great, but are pretty much like commmunism in that in the real world they aren’t going to work. They are great as philosophies though.

Read the leviathan if you think you’re a libertarian; read some John Locke, or Adam Smith if you think you are a socialist.

Zap,

Communism failed under its own weight and we wasted American lives for absolutely nothing.

I know you have the Democrats and liberals. I don’t. I just think they need to grow up and grow a pair.

I understand your point but we disagree.
