Deloading Every 2 Weeks?

Please don’t tell me to read the book, because I have.

I am wondering its ok I deload every 2 cycles instead of every cycle. So I assume that means after “week 3” of my first cycle, the next week I start at “week 1” of the 2nd cycle?

I feel at the moment I don’t need to reload so often.

Is that ok? Im not breaking some golden rule?

Jim has stated many times that this is fine and appropriate for most people given they are training and recovering smartly.

your post is a little wordy, so just to clarify:

wk1
wk2
wk3
(adjust TM)
wk4
wk5
wk6
wk7 Deload
(adjust TM)
wk8
wk9
wk10

wk11

wk14 Deload

…ETC

on page 6 of Beyond 531 he does discuss this. Yes its ok.

I hate to be “that guy”, but no, I don’t think you have read the book.

This is in the Beyond Book (or a later edition of the first, can’t remember). The OP may only have the original

Thanks for the replies.

And yes, I only have the original book.

i am actually doing the 5/3/1 full body variation, im in the second cycle and by doing it correctly (going for a pr in the last set) i think it’s one of the most difficult programms i ve ever done! (and probably the best) And i could not even imagine not having to deload! Id probably die if i didnt deload.
