DeFranco's Shoulder Shocker

I like doing lateral raises then front raises then presses. That way you are going from the hardest to the easiest. Makes more sense that way. And use DBs or KBs great way to trash the shoulders without throwing huge weights around.

Doing Madcows 5x5 and I want to implement this.
What day or days should I do it?

You should do 2 or 3 sets (one set = all three exercises in a row)

Do you guys think it is in option to ditch the front plate raises and replace that with rear delt lateral raisers.

So: Rear delt lat raisers, then side raisers, then shrug/half press?

I just feel like the rear delt work is lacking, or is the rear delt work supposed to be covered by doing strict form seated rows? (Defranco mentions the importance of doing a power lift style of bench press and strict form seated row machine - in combination with the shoulder shocker for good shoulders).

i must say, as i do a lot of OHP’ing, seated db cleans really help keep everything healthy

Yes, I’ve done it that way with good burn results.
