Death to the 'Teddy Bear' Teacher!!!

KHARTOUM, Sudan ?? Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear “Muhammad.”

In response to the demonstration, teacher Gillian Gibbons was moved from the women’s prison near Khartoum to a secret location for her safety, her lawyer said."

Ahhh…the joy of bombing…when in doubt, bomg 'em all!!

If other Muslims support this and do not denounce this kind of ignorance then they are showing how truly barbaric and ignorant their religion is as a whole. When Christians like those douchebags that protest soldier’s funerals make an ass out of their religion, other Christians come out and denounce them.

Silly relativity. The irony here is that you want to kill them for their ideology while they want to kill her because of hers.

Wouldn’t it be easier just to convince them that all religions have gotten it incorrect and that God doesn’t exist?

Do they also want to kill the kid named Mohammed who said the bear was named after him, or is he already dead?

It’d be easier, but they’d be wrong. God does exist. They are just perverted in their thoughts and actions.
For the most part it is mainly Islam who is going through a crisis; but you do have a point that there are to many kooks using religion to do some truly evil shit. Chances are, if they didn’t have religion, they’d still be kooks and use some other excuse

The little boy was condemned and has to receive 40 lashes. He insulted the Prophet.

His parents have to be beheaded, according to Sharia Law.

Damn HH. ya beat me to it! When is the muslim population going to stand up against this stupidity in their house. This type of idiocy can only fixed by muslims. Then they wonder why people are afraid to have them around; what the fuck do they expect! We can’t kill them all; I certainly don’t want that much blood on my hands.

A prime example of Islams

  1. Intolerance of other cultures
  2. Ignorance of human rights
  3. Refusal to integrate with the world poulation

These crazies are definately scarey.

I was being sarcastic in my last point.

I was also trying to make a point that “religion” can mean whatever one believes in. Fervent belief in any particular ideology can make people blind – but what happens when one REALLY does find the absolute truth such as these Muslims have?

Absolutism makes it really hard to change people’s minds about destructive ideology. How do we explain to these people that human cooperation requires the ultimate freedom of expression and tolerance. The West’s inability to tame Africa is directly related to these ideas. They failed trying to replace one extreme with another.

I think HH wants to kill everyone named Mohammed.

We want to kill specific groups of muslims because they flew airplanes in to the world trade center. We do not want to kill all Muslims or erase their ideology. Only the extremists who actively plot to hurt us.

Spin is fun.

I know…

They haven’t. Truth is ‘what is the case’, not what you (insert any person here) think it is. Obviously, death destruction and behaving in a ‘evil’ way is not truth. The innate truth of any animal is: 1)Survival of self 2) Survival of species. Any behaviour contrary to that innate purpose is a lie.

These assholes have either been raised to believe and act that way, or something about that philosophy fills some sort of emotional need they have.

It’s easier to shit a cinder block then change somebody’s mind. That stuff has to come from them. There is nothing we can do. I just look at myself, to change my mind about something of the magnitude of religion…I really don’t know what it would take, it’d be a miracle, that I can assure you.

If their last name is ‘Atta’, then yeah.

Eventually, even the Pope had to admit the errors of Catholic doctrine when faced with the facts of our “Known Universe”. This may have been, in fact, a miracle as you stated.

The problem we are facing in this situation is that science isn’t going to solve this issue – in other words, it won’t be a matter of simply persuading someone to open their eyes and look around them. We have to persuade them that they can be free to believe what they want but do not have the right to kill others because they are different.

Enlightenment, must go is stages:

contemplation – observation – discovery – application

How do we persuade them start contemplating the ideas of liberty?

Such actions are insults to Islam alright. The savages who think punishing a women for naming a toy in class are doing the insulting here.

Also, don’t be fooled. The Sudanese government is behind the “rallies” as reported in HH’s piece.

I am hereby naming my keychain figurine Mohamed in protest.

“innama al-a’mal bi-l-niyyat” – The prophet Mohamed (translation: “Actions are but by intentions”)

The Vatican has never been 100% candid about its savage past, and tends to move behind history’s consensus. For example while they issued an apology about the Fourth Crusade to the Orthodox Church, they also re-evaluated the Spanish Inquisition to conclude it wasn’t all that bad after all.

That said, the absolutism and repressive customs seen in some Muslim countries really slander the name of Islam to the point its image will be beyond redemption. These customs are an emblem of the ideology that inspires terrorism. One that has been twisted so much it is barely recognisable if we are to contemplate its heritage.

Well, in church I did try to get a riot going over “Buddy Jesus.” Wasn’t much enthusiasm about the idea, however.

“Sorry, I gotta pick the kids up. Maybe next week?”

Or, “oh gee, I don’t know, religious riots are, like, so yester-year.”

Meh.

Maybe “Buddy Jesus” looks like he’s having too good of a time to be outraged on his behalf.

Who is 100% candid? For instance who you admit to having VD? What if you were strait, but one time you tried out a dude? What about the time you snorted coke in you mom’s bathroom?

When I say ‘you’, I mean anyone really, not you specifically. All I am saying is that everybody has secrets that noone will ever know. The Catholic Church is run by people. People fuck up, sometimes they cover up. What is not happening in the Catholic Church, or any other church eastern or western is that they call for the death of somebody every time they are ‘offended’, that honour lies with Islam alone.

I feel the same way. As a Christian I am disgusted by the Westboro Baptist Church. They are not even a real Baptist church , they have no affiliation. Words cannot describe how sick they really are. God doesn’t forget anything , especially the deeds of these sicko’s who use the Lord’s name to preach hate.

I work w/ a Muslim and this person is great to work w/ and a good friend. I asked my co-worker today about this incident in the Sudan and my co-worker thinks these people need a refresher course in the Koran.

VD isn’t your fault. Say you were a child molester. Child molesters are FORCED to tell everyone what they’ve done.

“High, we’d like you to convert to Christianity.More people have been killed in the name of our God than in the name of Hitler. Our church is being built just down the road you see.”

Lol.

Actually, the child molestation example itself fits in pretty nicely with the Church…

Islam is currently in a state of disarray. Christianity wasn’t much better a few centuries ago. It isn’t the religion, it’s religion in general.

All organized hatred has come through some type of religion. What was communism, but a religion, after all? Despite it’s adherence to atheism, being forced to believe in nothing is the same as being forced to believe in something. It’s the being forced part that is bad.

I think the biggest problem is Muslims don’t have a good podium from which to condemn these actions. I’m sure the people of the country where you get lashes for naming a teddy after Mohamed are so up to the task of denouncing the government.

I know I’d be hard pressed to come up with the courage necessary to oppose such a brutal and barbaric force.

What we need to see are American and European Muslims coming out to denounce these guys, so they can re-legitimize their religion in the eyes of civilization.
