When I deadlift heavy, I feel like the anterior serratus muscles and the lats are crushing my ribcage. I’m wondering if it’s completely normal or if it’s because my traps are too weak. I try to retract my scapulae and pull to the back (scraping my shins)and this problem is most apparent at the last few cm before I push my hips forward for the lockout. Any comments are welcome.
