Deadlifting Weak Points

I hit 450 last night for the first time ever on dead lifts. On the way up I felt the outside of my hips straining the most. I am not sure if my knees came in at all but would this be a sign of my hips being a weak point and something I need to start training? Also what would be the best exercise to train that area, not including the one I see all the women on in my gym ha.
