Deadlift Form Check

Can I get my form checked, I’d like to avoid throwing out my back doing this.

I can probably get a side angle up tomorrow night if that helps more.

Hard to tell from the front angle. Didn’t look too difficult

I think you may have hyperextended on the way up and there may not have been a full lock out with the hips. Possibly far from the bar. But a side angle would give more certainty.

How does your stance feel?

Stance feels alright to me, I originally did it a bit wider but this let me pull a little bit more than the wider one so I switched. I’ll try and get a side angle up on Thursday (didn’t get it yesterday like I wanted to).

Banish this thought from your mind. You aren’t going to hurt yourself deadlifting. You aren’t moving like an idiot and you aren’t using inappropriate weights. You’ll be fine.

That isn’t to say that you can’t become a better deadlifter. You can, and should.

I hurt my back more often when I’m not deadlifting regularly for what it’s worth.

That was more for comedic effect, although in the past I did pull a lot more with a rounded back which is what I’m trying to avoid doing this time around.
