Haha I gotta get my planned work in on the weekends just bc I don’t know how my week will be with our 4 month old. If I get the opportunity during the wweek to lift I just work up to a reasonable single or triple then do some light assistance. But I’ll be 29 in June. Honestly this one was kinda bad having two heavy days in a row. Most weeks I’ve got a volume or speed day next to a heavy. Oh well lol

Just some thoughts on path forward.

Currently my bench is in the gutter. I have 6 weeks until I am planned to max deadlift again with the hopes of hitting 500. I also have 5 weeks of programmed work for my current cube cycle. So on the 6th week I plan to hit a single on bench and squat 5-10 pounds higher than my current training max (bench is 250, squat is 375). The plan following the conclusion of this cycle will be:

Saturday - Deadlift or Squat Cube Day
Sunday - Deadlift or Squat Cube Day / Cube Bench Day
Week Day One (monday or tuesday) - Squat work up to heavy 3 or single
Week Day Two (wednesday or thursday) - 531 for bench variation at weak point/upper hypertrophy

This is kind of what I have found schedule wise to work with having a young baby. Now that I know my schedule a little better I can plan progression on lifts during the week a little better as well. Maybe I can get my bench and squat moving again.

Edit* - since the beginning of the log (2 years ago almost) my bench is the same, and my squat has gone up 40 pounds, deadlift up 50 pounds. not too happy with that. I think recently though I have kind of figured out what works for me. Most of those squat and deadlift gains came in the past 6 months

Sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason for strength. Ive had some of my strongest days when i was really sick. WEIRD!

Thanks! I think its got something to do with REM sleep and cycles. Since I dont have a regular schedule I just happened to be woken by our baby during a light cycle. Thats my guess anyway. But yea its totally weird
