Is that the goal or are the breathing pauses to long. I would say you’d have to breathe at some point, I couldn’t imagine holding my breath for 40 reps :slight_smile:

no i can’t hold my breath for 28 reps, i usually breath in on the upward part of the push up, and a breathing pause is holding a plank variation and breathing

the goal is 40 without breathing pauses and at the same day 1x1 200 kg DL, so far i have done 34 push ups straight

i’m not too worried about the push ups part of goal, but it’s freakin hard to up the DL

fasting blood sugar 5.8 mmol/l
morning weight 90.6 kg, fat (according to scale) 16.2 %, muscle mass 34.6 kg

i have been modest with carbs and done my 16/8 IF and no alcohol but weight and fat loss have plateaued. but i did bring 8 eggs as a snack one day and then i had 4 eggs the other days, so i guess that puts me on maintenance caloric intake.

i will try and extend the fasting to at least 17/7 and decrease carbs even more and eat only 2 eggs with a bell pepper or a carrot as a snack. let’s see where that goes. fasting is not that hard anymore i’m just tied to my working schedule.

i am a bit concerned about my fasting blood sugar, it’s quite often up at 5.8 mmol/l, i thought it was due to wine consumption or pastries, but even when i have constricted the intake of such it’s up at 5.8 mmol/l. am i prediabetic?

it might help with the push ups part of my goal but not so much with the DL. i guess that i could consume a lot and become very fat but build some 20 % muscle on top of the fat gain and then much more easily reach my DL goal. that’s why i have included an absolute strength measure and a relative strength measure in my goal, to keep my weight reasonable.

reason i want to diet down is related to my high fasting blood sugar values, and i try to get that in order without loosing strength in the DL. also i’ve heard that it’s hard to build significant muscle when you are above 12 % body fat. so once i get to say 10% i’ll crank up my protein intake.

my goal is to do the DL and the push ups on the same day, but i might take a couple of hours between, prolly easier to do the push ups first, not very long recovery on those
