Db Going Up, but Bench Stuck

hi all,
first of all, i have to admit that my bench sucks…and it sucks so much…with a 430lb squat and 465 lb deadlift, i only can bench 205lb… so i decided to post it here

lately i do everything i can try to bring my bench up. I am on 5/3/1 PL and doing db work as my assistance. i can see they are going up a lot but my bench still stumbling especially for the repetitions.

so i wanna ask is it normal that db press going up but bench is still stuck? (also found doing 2 board press is more natural and comfortable than bench, i guess i am just weird lol)

It’s definitely possible. You’re most likely simply becoming a better DB bencher while remaining at the same skill level as a barbell bencher. If barbell bench is your weakness, you should be training it more rather than less. Try making barbell bench your assistance work either after benching or after pressing to get more training with it.

actually i did bbb before, and 2 weeks ago, just switch to db once by accident. And I found my db went up quite bit. so should i keep doing bbb? or i can reduce some barbell work, add some db…

Thanks
