Davemccright's Dangerous Dave’s Diabolical Log for Density and Destruction

Had a stellar session today. Amazing Pump, big progression over last week’s. Really can’t ask for more than that. Pretty hyped to get some nice progress on the Dumbbell bench and floor Press. Just had the right mindset and energy for a great workout today. Blessed to be lifting.

Also had to document the ridiculous Pump today. Was feeling super golden era today. Maybe it was the Heavy Duty tank top.

How are you recovering your legs? I don’t know what it is about speed squats, but they wreck me for days

My legs are usually sore for several days and don’t start feeling good again until it’s time for the next leg day haha. Especially with the deficit Deads

Is this really a thing, my legs are permanently sore. Squat Monday, sore all week, Squat again Friday, sore all weekend, Repeat.

I’m in the same boat. That’s why I like training them once a week haha

Yes but you are young and strong like bull. You do the same volume as my two sessions in one.

I’ve figured out the common denominator: our problem is doing legs

you are definitely on to something there. I really need to stop competing in anything that needs me to squat. Then I could have arms like you boys.

I don’t even have arms like me anymore. I am feeling good again lately though!

LOL. Good to hear mate.

Really tired from bad sleep last night so I swapped back day for speed bench and shoulders. Definitely a good call so I can really go HAM on back tomorrow. Bested last week’s performance in Dumbbell inclines and didn’t even go back for any extra reps after failing on 19. I felt good with that. Going to grill up some burgers and maybe catch a quick nap!

Felt way more ready to go for back day today and it shows! Got through the session, somehow pushing myself harder than last week while also feeling less fatigued afterwards. Making awesome improvements every week! Definitely hoping this keeps up! I can certainly say that this is the sign of good programming. Thank you Mountain Dog, you genius! His deep understanding of what works and how to get from point a to point b clearly surpass mine and this is why I always follow a program written by a genius coach like John Meadows rather than writing my own.

Deficit Deads moved much faster today, save for the first set, which is always my slowest moving due to my minimal warming up. Excited about these improvements!!

This made me laugh and I am sure would have made John smile.

Yesterday’s arm workout was a great time as all arm days are. I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. The pump was awesome and each set was harder than the last.

I did sub out Bench dips for regular parallel dips simply because trying to put the plates on myself last week was extremely awkward and I cut my finger catching one of the plates before it fell off.

Leg day today. Squats were flying up lightning fast off the box. Quickest they’ve moved all training cycle, so I’m thrilled about that. Leg curls were just brutally hard. I love hammering the hamstrings!

Today was my big chest day of this training block! Had a ton of goals I checked off my list including beating the 18 reps from last week on Dumbbell Bench (with slower eccentrics and a deeper stretch at the bottom), hitting 315 for an easy 2 on floor press and getting all of my reps on Barbell Tricep Extensions (really more of a modified JM Press) and my form felt super locked in compared to previous weeks.

The strength progression has been brilliant on this program and my legs in particular are looking more jacked than ever!
