Dan's 5/3/1 Log!

Hey guys, I’ll only post a little about myself because I don’t want to bore you. I’m 18 years old, played loads of sports when I was little, but got bored of football my Freshman year of high school. I lived a completely sedentary life for two years, until I got into rugby. My junior year I started playing rugby, and did very well. This past spring (my senior season), I was captain of the forwards on my team, and starter at the hooker position.

I started lifting more seriously over the summer last year. That’s all you could want to know about me, mainly because I’m a boring kid.

I just started the third week of 5/3/1 with great success.

I’ve got really bad sunburn on my upper back and shoulders, so this was painful to say the least. Fortunately, I decided to go [barely] “north of vag” and just get it over with. Did nothing but this, so I feel kind of lame; there’s nothing I can do about it except look forward to the 5/3/1 week next cycle.

Took a two day break for sunburn healing purposes.

I had McDonald’s this morning for breakfast, and I think that’s why I feel like garbage. Bench felt way too heavy for what it was, but at least I hit my goal of 3+ reps.

Still fighting sunburn…and it was squat day.
