Cutting with Strength Loss

Hey guys

I’ve been on the t-dawg 2.0 diet for about a month now, and training in the gym with Waterbury’s 10x3 for fat loss. I’ve followed the diet and the training plan just right. But I’m losing strength big time in the gym. For example my squat has dropped by 10kgs now.

I really need some advice, I think maybe the best thing to do is increase my calorie intake by 500. I’m getting plenty of protein, I’m having good fats with each meal, getting 100 grams of carbs on training days, and 70 grams when not training. Eating lots of vegetables.

Thanks for any help.

Hey emry;

100 grams of carbs = 400 calories

Not sure how many calories you are consuming in fat and protein; but it could be you are just getting insufficient calories.

Maybe post you protien and fat intake as well as your workout routine (number of sets, exercises, days a week)as all of this interrelates (your exercise program dictates your calorie requirements)and may help others and me provide better comments/help.
