I’ve got chain.

I’ve got carabiners.

I’ve got an old bar.

I’ve got a bunch of weights.

…and now I have two Ironmind Olympic-size 15" loading pins on order.

It’s ski week this week, so my son’s school is out all week long. He spent a good part of the daylight hours watching the new Dr. Who series yesterday.

Aaaaaand of course it gave him the heebie-jeebies that night. All night long, I’m hollering “Go back to bed! It’s all make-believe. Nothing’s going to get you. See how safe it is: I was sound asleep! Good Night! No, you can’t snuggle with Mom and Dad. No I’m not going to sit with you until you fall asleep…” and so on and so on.

Certain others snore…so all in all I got my quota of “Don’t blow your top” practice last night.

I feel your pain. My daughter is almost 12. We still have problems with her sleeping through the night.On top that she is really afraid of the dark. Thankfully I catch mot of the middle of the night duty. The wife will blow her stack and be ill for the nxt 2 days when she is awaken.

Dr. Who is a cool series, but I can see how it might freek out a youngster.

I started really conservatively on most of the lifts. I kept military press up there near real max. I won’t be approaching any real PR’s for almost 6 months in the other 3 - just estimated max PRs.

Initial training maxes
MP: 171 (real - 190)
DL: 428 (real - 515, but I chose 475 as real max)
BP: 230 (real - 275, but because I hadn’t benched in about 4-5 months I set it to 255)
SQ: 329 (real - 395, chose 365 as real max)

I’m encouraged by this second cyle on upper body lifts so far.

Loading pins are in Sacramento now. I might have them tomorrow or Friday.

I am becoming excited.

They left Sac at 3:30 this morning.

Last holiday, my boy did a Dr. Who marathon… Loved it… Sorry yours got scared.

hmmm Jerky… got 10 lbs (raw) in the stove drying right now… 3 more wouldn’t fit… hhmmmm…

Oh, it didn’t stop him: he was back at it today - watching the scariest episodes he could find.

I had venison jerky only 2 or three times in my life as a child and I get the most outrageous cravings for it. It was all-day jerky, dried enough to where you could sharpen it on a rock into a shiv or just gnaw on it all damn day.

Loading pins came today.

Wife is pissed that I bought more gym crap.

Hell woman, I don’t have any other vices…
