When reading in USCTrojan’s Physique Clinic, I read Thib’s recommending that 3-11 hours after waking is the optimal time to workout. I was just wondering why he suggested that.

Because thats when the CNS (central nervous system) is freshest. Before then, its not full y functional/awake…after then…its tired/had a full day sort of thing.
Early after waking, your testosterone is apparently at its highest, and like the poster above said, the later time indicates the time where CNS is at its highest potential to initiate force production
