Cryotherapy

How cold is cold enough to make a difference? I want to do ice baths because my legs aren’t recovering fast enough, especially when I sprint a lot. The problem is I’m not a professional athlete so I don’t have access to giant ice machines or therapy tubs. It’s the winter right now and our pool is open year round. Right now it’s 60 degrees. I stood in there for 10 minutes after a workout and when I got out the skin on my legs was cool to the touch. It’s not quite an ice bath, but it’s shocking to get in and is kind of uncomfortable. Will 60 degree pool water make a difference in my recovery time? I mean it’s cold enough to get hypothermia right?
