Creatine Water Retention?

I am on a cutting cycle and want to continue to take creatine but am trying to avoid any water retention.

I’ve read some of the new creatines promote “no water” retention.

Anyone have any success with some of these new creatine products?

any insight would be appreciated.

Thanx in advance!

i don’t get how that would work, i thought that the water retention from creatine was the crucial element in muscle building, this sounds awful fishy to me

My understanding has always been that water retention from creatine was in the muscle tissue.

Are you cutting to make weight for sports? If not, I do not see why the water retention would be a negative. The creatine will help keep strength up while cutting, and will, so long as you’re taking it, give your muscles a slightly larger look.

IF there is some non-muscular water retention that I have not heard of, I personally would say go ahead and not worry about it. You will have the benefits of the creatine, and the extra weight will slip right off after you come off the creatine cycle.

LOL, very well could be true that some of the new Bells and whistle creatines out there dont lead to water retention. Yet another way of showing they dont work and are a waste of money. Stick with the Creatine Monohydrate, micronized if need be.

As for using it while cutting. It will be more of an aid than hinderance like the previous poster pointed out.

When using creatine for any phase in your training, it’s crucial to drink plenty of water. Make sure you drink at least 12oz for every 5g of creatine you take and look for a good company that sells micronized, if not mix it in hot water or tea. I’ve been doing that for years and My muscles always feel full without the bloat of water retention. Hope this helps.
