Creatine Use During Weight Loss

Can one use creatine while trying to lose weight? I notice I do not recover as quickly as I did using creatine. I have not used it for nearly 4 months and muscles soreness is constant. Before whe I used the creatine, I seemed to feel better. Maybe with the added fluid in and around joints? I still have about 20 pounds to lose. Would the reintroduction of creatine halt the fatloss?

Thanks in advance.

Creatine has no bearing on weight loss. It will not hinder it. BUT it might increase your body weight by a couple of pounds since creatine is stored in the muscles with water. But it has nothing to do with fat gain/loss.

If anything I like creatine during a fat loss phase since it makes the muscles feel fuller (so I don’t feel as small  ).

BTW keep one thing in mind: you might get more sore because you are trying to lose weight and eating less… if the body has less nutrients available it might not recover as fast.

on a slightly off-topic note CT, do you take creatine? I head it’s fine to mix it with Plazma as long as JUST creatine.

Thanks for the quick response CT.

Yeah, if it’s just creatine it should be fine. But I personally very rarely take it.

One last thing, being off the creatine for a few months…Will I need to follow the loading phase? I see mixed reviews on loading, some say yes, some say no. So, what say you sir?

The only times I got anything out of creatine I used a loading protocol.

Thank you sir. You have been a great help.

I’m been on creatine malate for quite a while, several months I would say, and I don’t know if I have ever really realized a difference in taking it or not. Its more or less just a habit. When I finish the container I probably will go off it.
