Creatine Mixed With Protein

Hey everyone so one of my friends who happens to be a trainer told me to get some creatine if my goal is to build muscle and strength. He told me to use 5gr of creatine monohydrate in my protein shake with a source of carbs after my workout.

Does this sound reasonable?
