My friend has taken creatine twice. He swears it causes his calf muscles to tingle and almost cramp. Any one ever heard of anything like this before?
It is possible. Make him strech more, drink water and eat Mg/Ca -supplement. If this does not help quit eating it.
I do not eat it any more - I can train hard enough without it.
Creatine can cause dehydration, therefore leads to cramping. I would suggest to drink a lot of fluids. Prefably water.
Creatine can dehydrate. Tell him to increase his water intake.
