creatine and protien in post-workout shake

I intend to mix creatine together with protein and carbs (e.g. dextrose or gatorade)as post-workout shake. Any comments on this?

Creatine in a post workout shake is a great time to take it. Lose the gatorade though, dextrose/maltodextrin is cheaper and will also work better. If you can afford Surge that would be even better. Read the recovery articles by John Berardi for more info.

This is optimal. Shoot for 5-10 grams, depending on goals.

Thanks for sharing, guys. Regarding carbs, I have no problem getting dextrose (glucose) but don’t have a clue about maltodextrine. Pls advise.

Try this post-workout if you want a quick, decent shake…8 oz. grape juice, 8 oz. fat free milk, 25 grams whey protein, 5 grams creatine monohydrate.

I switched to Powerade because it does have maltodextrin, unlike Gatorade. Perfect timing for the creatine, too, IMO.
