When counting your daily protein requirements do you count all the protein in the food you eat,even if the protein is coming from oatmeal, bread, etc.?
I dont, I only count milk/meat/supple proteins. I consider the extra proteins a bonus.
I do count all proteins, but I make sure I get enough of the “complete proteins” (about 1 g per lb of lean mass), because I like to know all the calories that my body is taking in.
I think Ian King calls this majoring in minor things.
If I did count the amount of protein I consume - I WOULD NOT include what is coming from oatmeal, bread, etc. Protein from those sources are probably so miniscule there’s no reason to count 'em, right?
