Counting Macros

I was reading in a log, can’t remember who, but someone said to count fiber against your total carbs, why is that?

Example, total carbs could be 22, but 3 of which is fiber. So, I would only count 19 gr of carbs.

Thanks

Supposedly we can’t digest fiber, so it goes straight through w/out getting stored any place… something like that.

It’s also negatively correlated with cancer.

are you saying fiber can cause cancer?

negatively correlated means people w/ higher fiber diets tend to have less cancer.
