Cottage Cheese Protein

I read that cottage cheese protein have a biological value similar to the white egg, is it true?
In addition, they have other noteworthy features? Does it contain lactose? can give some problems at the level of muscle definition or stomach bloating(this happened to me with milk)?

let me google that for you.

Pretty sure you mean Bio-availability and no its not true.

Also, that measurement for ‘whey protein’ is incorrect. I can’t recall where I read that but shouldn’t be hard to find.

In other words, egg protein is the gold-standard and cottage cheese (casein + whey) is better than most.

Cottage cheese is whey+caseine so is It the ideal post-wo meal??

It worked for Little Miss Muffet, so, sure, give it a shot.

Really though, “ideal” is kinda subjective, but if it’s low fat and delivers a bunch of high-quality protein, what would be the downside?

well, if It worked for Little Miss Muffe, it will work for me too!

Yess… I mean an adeguate post-wo meal, not the ideal meal

Cottage cheese is not an ideal post workout meal. Cottage cheese is a milk product, Milk protein is made up of 80% casein and 20% whey. You don’t need to worry about getting in enough casein protein after a workout. The best time for Casein is before bed.

Eggs are 100% bio-available, they also have all 8 essential amino acids. But that doesn’t mean it’s the best thing for right after a workout, whey protein is what is always suggested immediately post workout because it is a fast digesting protein. Cottage cheese is a good food, but it’s not something that is a meal in itself IMO. It’s good to eat before bed because of the high amounts of casein, but there is also high sodium so it’s not good for people trying to avoid bloating.
