I am highly prone to keloid scar formation, and have multiple keloid scars on my back and shoulders. For this reason, I am forced to take Kenalog 40 injections (40 mg of triamcinolone acetonide, on average 4 times per year; the injections are applied into the scars themselves). The injections take care of the scars pretty well, but I am concerned with the effect of this extraneous corticosteroid on both my general health and body composition.
Do you have any suggestions on countering the negative systemic effects of the therapy? If it is relevant, my neurotype is 2A.
