I was wondering about the effects of flaxseed oil. It seems to be smoothing me over. I take four tablespoons a day spread out.
Hi Mark. I think 1-2 tablespoons a day of essential fats is all that is required. I use Udo’s Choice oil blend and I think that’s what is recommended on the label. At 9 calories per gram, 4 tablespoons is adding a lot of extra calories to your diet in a week’s time. Let’s see, there’s 14.5 grams of fat in every tablespoon, according to the label, that’s about 131 calories. Two extra tablespoons a day (beyond the recommended amount) is 261 calories. Over a week’s time that is about 1800 calories, or 1/2 pound of stored fat.- Nylo
