Confusing Calories

Hey all,

I have a quick question regarding calories for protein, carbs, and fats. When you are calculating daily calorie needs do you have to add in the calories for protein/carbs/fats in addition to the calories on the label.

Example:
Label on piece of chicken says 400 calories per serving, 50 grams protein
→ Total calories = 400

or

Label on piece of chicken says 400 calories per serving, 50 grams protein
→ Total calories = 400 + (50 * 4) = 600

The first one. 200 of the total 400 calories come from protein.
