Commentator Jokes about Killing Obama

Appearing on Fox News on Sunday, Liz Trotta, a former editor with the Washington Times and reporter for the Chicago Tribune and Newsday, was asked by the host, Eric Shawn, about the Clinton controversy and the 2008 race. This led Trotta to refer to the Clinton misstep.

Trotta, according to video, replied, “And now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama, uh Obama. Well, both, if we could.” She laughed.

Youtubers response: - YouTube

With the whole controversy from Hilary bringing up death and RFK, it seems that joking about Obama’s pending assassination is not an appropriate thing to do at this time. Especially since Obama has to have gotten many death threats already.

Here’s her apology: - YouTube

Sincere or not?

At least Fox no longer claims they are fair and balanced.

Err… in context this really isn’t super-horrible. A small miss wording perhaps.

unless it was intentional, in which case, yeah that’s fucked up.

It was obviously calculated, included the Osama/Obama “slip”.
It’s quite gross really, but alot of things on FOX are.

Oh yes, I’m sure that was scripted out… come on, it was obviously a slip, with an ill-conceived off-the-cuff attempt at humor. Also, the Osama/Obama one is pretty easy to make - I recall the moderator of one of the debates made it.

CNN has made the Osama/Obama mistake.

Wasn’t she referring to Hillary’s statement about Obama getting killed like RFK? Is she not even allowed to talk about that?

Much ado about nothing.

You can see her thinking out the “slip”, she slips on her “slip”.

Hmmm… I’m pretty sure quantum physics allows some to make an honest mistake and others to be making a deliberate “mistake”.

Does the illuminati really need to be brought in to explain that the former editor of the washington times is going to slander Obama?

This looks more deliberate.

The Illuminati runs Fox News. I know, because I go to all the meetings.

I notice you opted for the term “slander” - as a matter of comparison, when various commentators suggested assassinating President Bush, including writing a play including that gem, were they “slandering” the President?

Well, the slander was the conflation with a mass murderer. Get it?
