Coming Back from a Low Back Muscle Pull

Did heavy deadlifts on monday. back was fine until wednesday morning.

Waited to sat to see a doctor. It is just a muscle pull.

I have done this before and want to prevent it again.

I know a big part of it is tightness in the area which may be hurting my form.

I am 54 and had been deadlifting every 4-5 days.

Right now i am just doing some stretching and using a golf ball which has helped some.

I would just like some advice . I am too old to keep doing this
