Got a pretty severe cold just beforeweek 2 of 5/3/1 and needed to take a week off. Is it best to pick up where I left off (3 reps) or repeat week 1 (5 reps)? Thank you for any advice.
Either one. It's one week. Over a 20 year lifting career, it will have no impact.
Meet in the middle and do a week of 4s.
Kidding, do week 1 if you didn't complete week 1. Do week 2 if you completed week 1.
It doesn't matter - do one or the other and commit to it. As someone mentioned above, in the big picture, it won't really matter.
More people need to think like this tbh
