Colbyt3420's TRT Log

sorry, but I have no idea, not something I have researched since I don’t have that problem myself.

So switched to E3D subQ about 3 weeks ago. 21.5 units of 200/mg…feel a lot more level than once a week. Libido is stronger. Suprised what it’s done in the gym. I wasn’t expecting much, but very pleased with strength and desire to work out. I had to drag myself to the gym before and evverything felt so so heavy. Not the case anymore.

Anyway, that’s a nice side effect. I am a little moody, assuming it’s my E2, so getting that checked in a week or two. Was suppose to last week, but have been swamped at work. Sleeping like a baby now as well.

Tell me this. I’m at about 10 weeks. What tests should I ask him to run?

as many as you can get and then some.

TSH
thyroid antibodies
d25-OH
ferritin
8am Cortisol
Total T
SHBG
Estradiol Sensitive #4021
DHT
DHEA-S
Complete Lipid Panel
Pregnenolone

I thought I had seen somewhere to not do the E2 Sensitive test…

you did, but the guys talking about it were wrong. #4021 is the best test per people who know.

Acne on the lower legs? No where else…Never had that, even as an adolescent

I see you guys are suggesting to test Pregnenolone. If the test comes back that he is low in prenenolone, what does that mean and what can be done to raise it?

Blood Results from yesterday…still waiting on E2 and some others…

Damn auto formatting!!! Sorry about that mess. I’m assuming my E2 is going to be high considering my total test and my % free…holy hell on my test levels. Am I good or should I lower my dosage?

How do you feel at those levels? That will guide your next step…definitely need E2 to paint the picture…describe symptoms improvement and degradation, not just bloodwork…

I feel way better. More energy, sleeping better, falling to sleep better, actually have a libido, head seems a little more clear. Only negatives, maybe a little more on edge, but for me that’s not much, and just recently(two weeks ago) started etting a little backne…although it seems to be clearing up now.

The moodiness and acne could be due to estrogen…keep an eye on those E2 labs and post them up when you get them back

GOod to hear you are doing well otherwise…we need more success stories on here so people will actually believe people get helped here! haha

yes, hashimoto’s causes fluctuating thyroid levels you can be hyper then hypo, etc.
How often do these fluctuations happen? Daily? Weekly? Is it just from the antibodies attacking?
I have found conflicting information on this.

According to drrind.com:
Early stage Hashimoto’s produces low TSH values, i.e. hyperthyroid symptoms, as your thyroid is under attack and “spilling” T4 into your bloodstream (and your body therefore senses that it doesn’t need any more T4, hence the low TSH). Late stage Hashi’s has hypothyroid symptoms, where your thyroid has been damaged enough that it has a hard time producing any T4, driving TSH values up extremely high as your body begins to crave T4.

Cliffs notes - early stage Hashi’s = low TSH, late stage = high TSH. As far as what sort of time scale this happens on, I do not know.

According to stopthethyroidmadness.com:
At first you feel hypothyroid, then as the disease progresses and your thyroid is under attack, you may swing from hypo to hyperthyroid on a daily basis. You may then eventually feel swelling (i.e. a goiter) as your body loses its body to convert iodine into thyroid hormones.

I think what you glean from this is that as your body attacks your thyroid unpredictable things happen. It could not hurt to check TPO/ATA.

Alright, so I have no idea what E2 test was used…my insurance would only cover their IHC lab…It’s labeled Estradiol by tandem mass spectrometry. Give no reference range…just says normal with a result of 27.5

Help…my docs nurse called and asked when my last shot before the test was because they want to make sure they’re testing my natural levels and not the medicine…??! Isn’t pretty much all the test in my body is that of what I’m putting in? I never told my doc I switched from 1x a week to every 3 days. The test was done on the day my shot was due, but before I injected. Said if next time I test my levels aren’t down they want to reduce dose by 50%. Isn’t that a little drastic? Should I just lower my dosage a little bit myself? Or are my test levels okay were there at? If they’re okay that high, I may have to find a new doc…son of a. Anyway, shit. I don’t really want to lower dose because I feel great. Outside some bacne that is clearing up things just seem to be getting better? Looking at were my test levels are am I sensitive to the testosterone or are those pretty typical results? I’m at 100 mgs a week.

If your nurse really said that, she is an idiot–you don’t have any natural levels while on TRT…not sure what she was going for there…

Tell your doc that you started injecting 3x week

Do you feel good at that level? Then that should be their guide–not some bloodwork…if that is your therapeutic dose, then that is your therapeutic dose…you need a doctor that understands and sympathizes with that…

That said, your T levels are on the high side for a trough…but if you feel good at those high of levels, then I say go with them…

So I switched from 21.25 units to 20 for a little while. Seemed like the acne went away. Started back at 21.25(this is every 3 days) and it came back…??? That’s only a difference of roughly 24 mgs of test a month…coincidence or could that little of a diff cause the acne?
