no , I did not list MSNBC

It’s confirmation bias. Left wing people want to read stuff that confirms what they want to be true. Right wing people want to read stuff that confirms what they want to be true. It is getting harder and harder to find outlets that aren’t skewed heavily towards one side. In a sense right now none of the money is in the middle. Probably been that way for a while.

No one wants to hear anything is going good. We want to be told what to fear, who to fear, and how to make the fear stop. The fear peddlers on both sides use this to profit. Most of the wealthier people in media and politics are those that peddle fear the best or on the left use biased comedy.

Most of the country desperately wants to think they are correct so they will be careful not to read anything that challenges those notions. It’s better to just read outlets designed towards your view than think about an issue in multiple terms or from multiple viewpoints.

This is another reason why you see both left and right talk about bias all the time. Lefties and righties will scream about bias and literally avoid places because of fear of bias so they can read stuff that is completely skewed toward their viewpoint (yeah, even though that is bias).

Actually a lot of social psychology research has looked into this and shown how much people’s brains change when presented a piece of information that is from a Dem or Republican based on what they want to believe.
Convictions are more powerful enemies of the truth than lies.
That’s a good point. The research is pretty convincing on this, but it shouldn’t be surprising. People don’t want to think they could be wrong on anything. So they avoid anything that may challenge those convictions. You see it most with people far left or far right. They have the most invested.

It’s weird how both sides talk about extreme bias in the other team while ignoring the bias in their own news sources. If an ignorant person can paint sources as biased then they have no reason to ever consider the viewpoint presented. And that’s where confirmation bias works best.

I’m pretty convinced far right and far left websites have had a really damaging effect on political discourse over the last 10 years. Ignorant people don’t have a desire to think for themselves, they just want to read people who agree with their viewpoint.

it never occurs to someone like H that one side can actually be correct.

it’s the same as the religious argument that they can’t all be right so none of them are.

wrong. one of them can be right. it’s just not the mormons.

I don’t think that is the problem, I think the problem is from the so called conservatives .I have a buddy that is 75 and will argue all day long how climate change is not happening and that it is a conspiracy . He does this with no formal education or research . He argues because the good people at FAUX told him , He is adamant

That would be kinda boring, wouldn’t it?

A proper news source would set itself up as being an adversary of government and all political parties. That is why we have freedom of speech in the first place.

That’s what First Look Media claims is its objective.

It never occurs to c-dog that I can only read his postings when someone else quotes them.

C-dog is a prime example of someone who doesn’t read certain things because of liberal bias, but laps up stuff from the far right like a lost puppy dog. Now he will try and “talk” to me even though I can’t see the drool coming from his screen name anymore unless someone else quotes him.

lol.

someone remind H that he is not the only one that understands ignore buttons on forums. lol.

people on the far right know what the left’s arguments are only because THEY DO READ OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS & EVEN STUDY their writings.

how else would you prepare to win a debate?

if you are unaware of where the enemy’s solar plexus is located you cannot win against your enemy.

P.S.

i initially wrote “i know H-factless says he has me on ignore…” but then i figured why write that? so i rewrote it to read “someone like H” then went about explaining away his assertion.

tell H i will stay away from his threads and to be kind enough to do same or at least not mention me when he is in my threads.

I love you H, I really do. I hope you don’t think I was coming on too strong with all of the penis references but I have a hard time being subtle and hiding my true intentions and feelings. I haven’t always felt this way about you but something changed when I found out you were black. Please don’t ignore me and I promise I’ll be a good little girl just for you.
30 years old and haven’t been black yet. When does the transformation happen Z? Is it like a werewolf thing?

You’re breaking Cdog’s heart.

Yeah, but he will post another picture of a man’s penis and that will make him feel better again. We got some weird dudes on this forum, but only one searching for penis pictures to post.

CNN has laid off more than 40 senior journalists in its newsgathering operation - including a pregnant producer who was two weeks away from giving birth to twins - as part of a reorganisation of the business.

Where do you get your news? What sources do you check on a regular basis? Did CNN have balanced news stories from the left and the right?
Impossible. CNN has never has an actual journalist work for it.

The above post (circled in red) was never written by me but was edited to look so in zecarlo’s reply post.

By changing/hacking a rival member’s personal response in reply posts, other members on T-Nation are led to believe said member is as his opponent states or describes him.

This type of attack undermines T-Nation’s member acceptable use policy, by allowing an opponent of T-Nation to portray a rival in this particular case in a homophobic and racist manner.

I have been hounded in posts by H-Factor and zecarlo since the fall of 2012.

For that length of time I have defended myself against homosexual, weird pedophilic and racist accusations. zecarlo has without any proof declared that I posted vile porn images on other forums and accused me as being an imaginary foe “overfiend” that he supposedly sparred with on another forum.

I have been patient even playing along. My methods included tit for tat witty/friendly exchange of conversation and pics. This editing/hacking my writing is different however.

If one is allowed to change a member’s writing’s through editing of reply posts it invades and deceives in a way that cannot be fairly defended.

My replies have included offers of truce with the “Jump on the Peace Train” youtube video several times. These have been met with ridiculous/non-sensical one sentence counter attacks that circled back to the “overfiend” or racist laden attacks.

I am asking T-Nation to horse-collar tackle this unfair tactic and prevent the ability to change responses from anyone that a member may have some adversarial dispute with. I’m not asking much, just play fair.
