Clubbells

What weight of clubbells should I start with as an absolute beginner?

Not much at all…like 3-6kgs is probably more than enough for ‘conditioning’ purposes.

Where do I get one?

I just joined a gym that has these and am wondering what you guys do with them.

I’ve been basically copying the part of Conan the Barbarian where he’s doing sword practice but I use the 6kg club.

I’ve only really played around with a homemade version (2-liter soda bottle/plastic bat/sand/ton o’ duct tape) that was around 15 pounds or so, but these two movements felt good once you get the hang of “catching the momentum” and not fighting the force of the bell. I never got into them much, mostly because I got distracted by kettlebells around the same time. :wink:

Ha! It’s funny but when I first started fooling around with them I basically just did stuff like swing it like it was a sword and I iedned up basically doing a little bit of what was in both videos!
