hey y’all. When I bench my feet are always forward and wide out to the side, never under me. Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of close-grip benching and have brought my feet closer together but still out front. In this position I feel very stable and it actually feels almost as strong as my wide-grip bench (haven’t gone too heavy close-grip yet but we’ll see). However, feet-close only feels strong when i do close-grip, not wide-grip.
I’m not really asking for advice, just curious if other people switch up feet position depending on bar grip. If not, give it a try and see how it feels.
BTW, by “wide-grip” I’m referring to ring finger on the ring. “Close-grip” half a thumb length from the smooth (i know, very scientific)
