Trying to get my wife pregnant. Came off of TRT injection, then went on HCG for 2 weeks and now on clomid for the past 3 weeks.
I’ve been on 25 mg of clomid ED for about 10 days and then tapered to EOD same dose. I currently feel great with clomid especially with the addition of DIM and D-glucarate; however, just recently I’ve noticed that I am getting up too early and can’t go back to sleep. I typically go to bed around 9-9:30 and get up around 5:30, but now I get up at 4am and can’t get back to sleep. Does this mean that I can taper off of clomid even further and then stop? I was thinking of splitting the dose to 12.5 mg EOD for one week, and then 12.5mg E3D for one week and then stop.
Weird thing is, I still have some energy left in me and even more so than when I was on TRT injection alone.
Is the room fully dark? Can’t be light outside at 4AM…
Suspect that your melatonin production is altered but have no idea how/why.
In USA you can get melatonin as a supplement on the shelf with vitamins. Find 5-6mg TIME RELEASE. Must be time release. If your waking problem goes away, this does suggest that melatonin was the issue.
Energy levels are odd too. Thyroid and adrenals are major players. There may be some cross activity in the pituitary/hypothalamus from the SERM.
I was waking at night a few hours early myself. Tried everything. Prescription stuff like Ambien didn’t even work.
When I met my wife, she told me to take sleeping pills with Doxylamine Succinate as the active ingredient. Worked like a charm.
I’m on clomid and haven’t experienced any issues, in fact I’ve been sleeping great.
Do you wake up refreshed? Any changes to exercise or diet? Could be you’re just excited/stressed about becoming a dad. As a father of 4 I suggest you embrace the baby making part…waiting that 1-2 months after the sucker is born is no fun at all!
So I tried some melatonin and the problem still persists. Actually, it seems like it got worse as I woke up at 3am today instead of the recent 4am. I ordered some Doxylamine Succinate sleep aid for the time being until I get off of clomid.
